Force-Sensing Resistor Types

Force-Sensing Linear Potentiometer

The FORCE-SENSING LINEAR POTENTIOMETER controls two parameters with a single force. It is a force sensor and a position indicator in a single element. The electronics must multiplex between modes in order to detect the force and position function.

Force-Sensing Linear Potentiometer

The force-sensing resistor circuit is normally open when the device is not loaded. When force is applied to the sensing area, an initial surface contact is made and a high resistance value displayed. As the force is increased, the resistance decreases.

Digitizer Pad

The XYZ DIGITIZER PAD can measure a single input XY coordinate, while independently indicating the Z axis or force applied.

Matrix Array

The MATRIX ARRAY is used where measurement of multiple inputs of force and locations is needed simultaneously.
